Jamie Pearson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University, and an advanced practice Doctorate of Social Work from the University of Southern California. She is a highly qualified, well respected, compassionate, and dedicated social worker with over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families. In addition to her work as a therapist, Jamie is a child welfare program consultant in North Carolina, helping to improve child welfare policy and practice, and advocating for systemic improvements to local and statewide systems of care.

Employing an integrated therapeutic approach, Jamie’s modalities used in treatment may include, expressive therapies (play therapy techniques, art, and sand), Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness-based interventions. Jamie has experience working with family problems, difficult transitions (such as loss, grief, separation, and emerging adulthood), adverse childhood experiences (such as trauma, abuse, and neglect), attachment and bonding issues, suicidality, self-injurious behavior, poor self-esteem, identity issues, depression, anxiety, and substance use. She believes everyone should have a safe space to work through life’s difficulties and it is her goal to help you reach your highest potential and live a happier, more harmonious life.
