Lauren Reaves is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Elon University and her Masters of Education in School Counseling from North Carolina State University. Prior to starting at Horizon, Lauren worked as a school counselor in Wake County. Lauren has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and groups.
Lauren enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families. As a counselor, Lauren aims to help her clients be their best self. Lauren provides counseling using an evidence-based, client-centered, and family systems approach. In addition to more traditional counseling techniques, Lauren also utilizes art, play, nature, and strength-based therapies as a way to help clients work towards their goals.
Lauren aims to provide a safe and supportive space where she can collaborate and work with her clients to reach their goals. Lauren works with individuals from a variety of backgrounds on issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, career transitions, and other mental health and life concerns.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, baking, and spending time with her family and dogs.
