Michael attended San Diego State University in 2003 receiving his Bachelors in Sociology. Through this time, he worked in a multitude of settings including Child Protective Services, Mental Health Lock down facilities, Group homes, Social Services, and Geriatric Support. Michael discovered an innate desire to assist individuals/groups/families in a more therapeutic setting and returned to San Diego State University to attain his Master of Social Worker in 2013. Michael has been working ever since providing therapeutic treatment to clients with mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, legal issues, co-occurring disorders, trauma/abuse, substance abuse, and military related concerns/trauma. Michael utilizes a conglomerate of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy/Dialectal Behavior Therapy Skills System, and Motivational Interviewing.
